Less is more.

If you look up Poignant in the Oxford English dictionary the first definition is: “evoking a keen sense of sadness or regret: a poignant reminder of the passing of time.” If I could choose only one word one word to describe Carry The Moon it would be poignant.

This project had so much momentum from conception through production it swept me up and carried me like a wave. The components were very simple; a woman singing, hands from three dancers caressing, exploring, attacking and soothing her face. Four takes, no digital effects, nowhere to hide.
